I tried all of the Skin Watchers moisturizers.

DISCLAIMER: These products are part of a gratitude package from Skin Watchers and were given to me with no strings attached. I was not asked to review them, but I will anyway.

My journey in finding the perfect moisturizer has been a long one. Light but not too light that it won’t hydrate me enough, moisturizing but not too heavy to break me out, no silicones, and no drying alcohols. There’s enough hydrating gels available in the market, but most of them have silicones in the first few ingredients, and my face does not like that.

The Skin Watchers Green Snail Hydrating Gel has been my HG since I found it, and has only been recently replaced by the Intensive Cream version of it.

They also have the Whitening Water Drop and the reformulated Ceramizing Cream in their lineup, so let’s take a look at all of them.

Skin Watchers Green Snail Intensive Cream: A Review

DISCLAIMER: This product was part of a gratitude package from Skin Watchers and was given to me with no strings attached. I was not asked to review them, but I will anyway.

After a not super positive experience with the Ceramizing Essence Toner, and as part of my Skin Watchers series, I’m here to review the Skin Watchers Green Snail Intensive Cream. If you’ve been hanging around these parts, the name might sound familiar because I have been harping about the Hydrating Gel version of this cream for forever.

TL;DR: I love it as much as the hydrating gel, especially in the colder weather of the past couple of months.

EYENLIP Black Snail All-in-One Cream: A Review

About a month ago, EYENLIP sent me their new Black Snail All-in-One Cream for me to try and review.

CLAIMS: WRINKLE CARE + WHITENING EFFECT. The snail secretion filtrate, protects skin by creating protective layer, supplies nutirents to the weary and unstable skin. It contains a large amount of snail mucus filtrate extracted from black snails. It is a mucilage cream that gently wraps and gives moisture and vitality. Liquid shea butter with enhanced skin affinity gives a feeling of lightness, and it contains black soybean extract to give vitality to the skin. Five types of berry extracts and five types of flower extracts provide a rich nutrition for velvety smooth skin. [sic]

INGREDIENTS: Snail secretion filtrate (74%), Helianthus Annus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Butylene Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Cetearyl Olivate, Niacinamide, Sorbitan Olivate, Cyclopentasiloxane, Behenyl Alcohol, Water, Dimethicone, Cyclohexasiloxane, Sodium Polyacrylate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Chlorphenesin, Polyacrylate-13, Polyisobutene, Coptis Japonica Root Extract, Allantoin, Panthenol, Beta-Glucan, Glycerin, Adenosine, Polysorbate 20, Disodium EDTA, Bellis Perennis (Daisy) Flower Extract Viola Mandshurica Flower Extract, Tulipa Gesneriana Flower Extract, Iris Veriscolor Extract, Citrus Aurantium Amara (Bitter Orange) Flower Extract, Caprylyl Methicone, Butyrospermum Parki (Shea) Butter, Polyglyceryl-10 Oleate, Dextrin, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Extract, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Seed Extract, Rubus Idaeus (Raspberry) Fruit Extract, Vaccinium Angustifolium (Blueberry) Fruit Extract, Fragaria Chilonesis (Strawberry) Fruit Extract, Rubus Fruticosus (Blackberry) Fruit Extract, Euterpe Oleracea Fruit Extract, Tocopheryl Acetate, Fragrance

TL,DR: Huge amount of product that applies and absorbs into skin beautifully. Pretty light for a cream. However, the silicones are still a problem for me: whenever I use it for too long, I start breaking out. It is moisturizing, but not enough for my dehydrated face, which started producing more oil to compensate.

Skin Watchers Green Snail Hydrating Gel [Reformulated, New Packaging]: A Comparison Review

I recently picked up my small beautynetkorea haul from the post office. Late last year, beautynetkorea had a sale on my favorite hydrating gel’s brand, Skin Watchers. Beautynetkorea is literally the only website I can find with reasonable Skin Watchers prices that can mail to me, so I grabbed the chance to stock up since i was already running out of the small tub I had.

I already reviewed this product last year, but I discovered that not only it was repackaged (now comes in a more convenient tube), it was also reformulated. It smelled different when I opened one tube and it had better effects on me, so I emailed the Skin Watchers customer service to confirm.

Yoon (from Skin Watchers customer service) replied almost immediately and confirmed the reformulation so here I am with a comparison review.Read More »

This moisturizer has so many good reviews on blogs and in the Instagram skincare community. I used this a long time ago when I was starting to dabble in moisturizers but barely knew anything about a good routine. I can’t remember why I stopped using it, but when I saw how Charm and Kat (and many others I follow) loved this product, I decided to order it off Lazada and give it another shot.

TL;DR: Good thing it was cheap because I really don’t like it.Read More »
